Margaret Mcalister

Margaret L. Dale McAlister, 93, of Conroe, died Saturday, September 10, 2011, at her residence. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 14, 2011, at the Splendora Cemetery in Splendora. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland. Margaret was born November 22, 1917 in Newport, AR, to parents; Richard “Tobe” and Nellie Thomas Dale, and was a former resident of Cleveland. She was a homemaker, high school graduate, and enjoyed gardening, sewing, and especially spending time with her grandchildren. Ms. McAlister was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Albert McAlister, Sr., granddaughter: Donna Orr, brothers: Robert Thomas and Albert Dale, and son-in-law: James Orr. She is survived by her daughter: Brenda Orr of Conroe, son: Albert McAlister, Jr. and wife Loretta of Garland, grandchildren: Kenneth, Mark, Susan, Jaime, Denise, and P.J., 17 great-grandchildren, two great great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
