Martha Melba Melat-Walston

Martha Melba Melat-Walston, age 92, was born on December 15, 1917 in Vivian, Louisiana to Harry and Bessie Melat. She was a 1937 graduate of Byrd High School, Shreveport, Louisiana. She retired and spent years as a nurse for Dr. Alexander and Dr. Kennedy. She died at her home in Tarkington Prairie where she resided since 1956 and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was married to the late Ezell Walston and is survived by her son, Richard Walston of Marquez, Texas; daughter, Evelyn Walston of Deer Park, Texas; grandsons, Rick Walston of Troupe, Texas, Brandon Walston of Tomball, Texas; great-grandsons, Keiffer Walston of Troupe, Texas, Dylan Walston of Troupe, Texas; great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Walston of Tomball, Texas.
Bro. Carl Williamson will preside over graveside services being held Friday, August 27, 2010, 4:00 p.m. at Ryan Cemetery, Cleveland, Texas.
