Mary Cecil Coogler-Miller

Mary Cecil Coogler-Miller "MIMI" was born June 1, 1930 in Shepherd, Texas to parents, Marvin Cutler and Gladys Parker Cutler. She entered Heavens Gates on July 30, 2024 at the age of 94. Mary was a woman of great faith and she loved the Lord, and was a member of the Shepherd Methodist Church. She was the kindest and most giving woman and she always put her needs last before others. You could often times find her volunteering at the nursing home or senior citizen center in Shepherd. Mary loved to cook, camp, sewing, canning, and loved going bowling. The most important part of her life was her family. She was the best mother and grandmother in the whole world. Mary loved the holidays and all the family get togethers, and making sure everyone had what they needed. Mary had fond memories of her and her husband W.T. “Boyd” Coogler spending time with their cattle and time in their garden. Mary will be greatly missed by everyone that knew and loved her. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Gladys Cutler; husband, W.T. “Boyd” Coogler; brother, Marvin George Cutler; grandson, Shannon Hoepfl; stepsisters, Ruby Shrader and Dorothy Olen. Mary is survived by her beloved children, Gary Coogler Sr, and Pat Lorenz and husband Ronnie; blessed to have 7 grandchildren, Shawn Hoepfl, Tanya Hoepfl, Clint Coogler, Steve Coogler, and Cody Coogler; 16 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren; nieces, Linda White, Janet Sanders, and Cindy Kahlden; great-niece, McKayla Kahlden; and numerous other nieces and nephews, family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 from 10-12pm. Burial will follow in the Farley Chapel Cemetery in Shepherd, Texas.
