Michael K. Benoit

Michael K. “Mike” Benoit, 65, of Dayton, died Thursday, June 26, 2014, at the San Jacinto Methodist Hospital in Baytown. The family will greet friends from 9 a.m. to noon, Monday, June 30, 2014, at the pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Mike was born February 14, 1949 in Port Arthur, a former resident of Louisiana, and has resided in the Dayton area for the past 11 years. He was a carpenter, a former steel worker, and enjoyed playing music, fishing, hunting, and playing dominoes. Mr. Benoit was preceded in death by his father: Henry Benoit, mother: Lillian Goulas Ross, and a grandson. He is survived by his wife of 14 years: Sharon Gorton Benoit of Dayton, daughter: Melondy Stokes of Baytown, sons: Michael M. Benoit of Dayton, Randall Kershaw of Gordonville, and John D. Benoit of Dayton, sister: Jessica Thompson of Arkansas, brothers: Jerry Benoit of Louisiana and Clayton Benoit of Groves, 16 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
