Michael Charles Morse, age 29, of Liberty, Texas, passed away on January 5, 2026. He was born on April 30, 1996, in Houston, Texas, to Roy Edward Morse Jr. and Sherry Lynn Morse.
Michael was a graduate of C.E. King High School. He resided in Dayton, Texas for the past seven years and was formerly a resident of Houston, Texas. Michael was employed by Brookshire Brothers Grocery, where he was known for his dedication, reliability, and strong work ethic. In his free time, he enjoyed playing video games, working on various projects, and expressing his creativity by dressing up and attending events such as Comic Con, circuses, festivals, haunted houses, and local fairs throughout the community. Above all, Michael cherished spending time with his beloved cat, Sargent Fluffles, who brought him great comfort and joy.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Sherry Lynn Morse; his grandmothers, Sheryl Ondrais and Joyece Morse.
Michael is survived by his father, Roy Edward Morse Jr.; his grandfather, Roy Edward Morse Sr.; his brother, Roy Adam Morse; and his sister, Audriana Katherine Morse. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends who will forever cherish his memory.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton, Texas. Burial will follow at Magnolia Park Cemetery in Dayton.
