Michelle Lynn Tehas

Michelle Lynn Tehas was born August 21, 1969 in Hampton, Virginia to parents, Curtis Owen Dougherty and Brenda Dougherty. She passed away April 8, 2025 in Shepherd, Texas at the age of 55.

Michelle had a passion for taking care of others as being a health care provider. For everyone whom she took care of, they became a new addition to her family. She loved her family and loved seeing them as much as she could, and when she couldn’t she kept them constantly in conversation. She was so proud of them all. She bragged about those in her life constantly when making new friends. The amount of genuine love she had for those around her could not be measured. Michelle will be greatly missed by everyone that knew her and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Brenda Dougherty. Michelle is survived by her father, Curtis Owen Daugherty; her beloved husband of 7 years, Dale Bourgeois; loving sons, B.J. Tehas and wife Krystal, and Tyler Tehas and wife Ashlynn; brothers, Daniel Dougherty and wife Regina, and Curtis Dougherty Jr; step sons, Dale Bourgeois and David Bourgeois; step daughters, Janelle Bourgeois and Shay Bourgeois; grandchildren, Stella Tehas, Landon Tehas, Colton Tehas, Austin Bourgeois, Lillian Bourgeois, Emily Bourgeois, Ethan Bourgeois, Karick Bourgeois, and Lorick Bourgeois; sisters in law, Gale Bourgeois and Debbie Hales and husband Wesley; brother in law, Philip Bourgeois and wife Bertha; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Monday, April 14, 2025 from 5pm-7pm at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home In Cleveland. Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at 2pm in the Pace-Stancil Chapel. Burial will follow at Farley Chapel Cemetery.

She is not gone, she’s always with us. Her love was unconditional and she will always be a part of our lives. We love you.
