Mildred Polley Brosseit-Ward, 54, of Dayton, died Saturday, February 8, 2014, at the San Jacinto Methodist Hospital in Baytown. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 11, 2014, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with graveside services held at 1:00 p.m., at the Garden Park Cemetery in Conroe. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Mildred was born October 7, 1959, in Baytown, to parents, Robert A. and Lou Dell Breeden Polley. She was a former resident of Houston and has resided in Dayton for the past 14 years. She was a file clerk for Kroger in Atascocita with 34 years of employment and enjoyed gardening, her pets, and spending time with family. Mrs. Brosseit-Ward was preceded in death by her father: Robert A. Polley. She is survived by her husband of 14 years: Donald H. “Don†Ward of Dayton; son: Petty Officer 2nd Class Justin A. Brosseit of the US Navy; mother: Lou Dell Breeden Polley of Dayton; sister: Rebecca Garcia and husband Leroy of Karnes City; brothers: Robert E. Polley and wife Melanie of Deer Park, Barry L. Polley of Pasadena, and Phillip E. Polley of Dayton; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. The family requests that memorial donations be made to the SPCA of Texas, ATTN: Development, 2400 Lone Star Drive, Dallas, Texas 75212.
