Minnie Elaine Odom, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on February 10, 2024, leaving behind cherished memories in the hearts of all who knew her. Minnie was born on October 11, 1984, in Houston and it was there that she began a life that would touch so many others.
Minnie's journey through life led her to work as a convenience store cashier where she greeted customers with a warm smile and friendly demeanor. Her dedication to her job was evident to all who crossed her path.
In her earlier years, Minnie attended Dayton High School, where she not only pursued knowledge but also formed lasting friendships that enriched her life. Her passion for learning was admirable and something she carried with her throughout her life.
Minnie is survived by her loving husband of 16 years, Jerald Ross, their son Jaden Ross, and daughter Jenelle Ross. She will be deeply missed by her brothers Henry Odom and William Odom along with his wife Toni, sister Tracie Luckadoo, nephews Coy Luckadoo, Abel Odom, Andreu Odom, and niece Shyane McDermott, along with her extended family mother-in-law Nellie C. Ross and her sister-in-law Anetra L. Holiday and other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Coy Frank Odom and Geneva Brooks Odom.
A visitation in memory of Minnie will take place on February 21, 2024 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton starting at 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. The funeral service will be held the following day on February 22, 2024 at the same location at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Jeff Day officiating.
Minnie Elaine Odom brought light into the lives of those around her with her kindness and gentle spirit. Her presence will be deeply missed but never forgotten as we hold onto the beautiful memories she leaves behind. May she rest in peace knowing she was loved by many.
