Obituary

Nelda Murline Jacobs was born in Hornbeck, Louisiana on September 29, 1930 to parents, William Ephriam Bridges and Mina Chance Bridges. She passed away in New Caney, Texas on July 14, 2026 at the age of 95. Murline was a loving and devoted wife to her husband Martin and always provided a warm and loving home for him and their four children. Her love for her family was her enjoyment in life, and she was so proud of all her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Murline come from a large family and she will be greatly missed from everyone that loved her. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, William Ephriam and Mina Bridges; beloved husband, Martin Jacobs; beloved sisters, Agnes Bridges, Audrey Potter, and Louise Waller; beloved brothers, Lee Bridges and Charles Bridges. Murline is survived by her beloved children, Rickey Jacobs and wife Deborah, Gary Jacobs and wife Felicia, Steven Jacobs and wife Karen, and Lisa Mabry and husband Jerry; beloved brothers, Junior Bridges and wife Judy, Wallace Bridges, and Hollis Bridges and wife Faye; beloved sister, Barbara Ann Singleton; beloved grandchildren, Jennifer Kaatz, Jessica Kelley, Jamie Jacobs, David Jacobs, Michael Jacobs, Rachel Jacobs, Eric Jacobs, Monica Jacobs, Brandon Mabry, and Randy Mabry; beloved great-grandchildren, Phoebe Kaatz, Zoey Kaatz, Addison Kelley, Bryce Kelley, Braydon Wells, Luke Wells, Briella Jacobs, Brianna Jedrzynski, Dylan Mabry, Kaylee Mabry, Kelsey Mabry, and Caleb Mabry; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, July 17, 2026 from 1-2pm. Funeral Service will begin at 2pm with Bro. Carl Williamson officiating. Burial will follow in the Pace-Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service will be, Eric Jacobs, Michael Jacobs, Dylan Mabry, David Jacobs, Mike Kaatz, and Randy Mabry.
