Norma Ruth Stanfield Zarsky, 80, of Dayton passed away Thursday, May 16, 2013 in Humble, Texas. She was born September 22, 1932 in Ace, Texas to parents: Edward Howard Stanfield and Maudie Walker Stanfield. She was a long time resident of Dayton where she enjoyed gardening and tending her flowers. Mrs. Zarsky loved her family and cooking for them. Service for Mrs. Zarsky will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, May 20, 2013 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton with Rev. Jeff Day officiating. Interment to follow at Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Monday before the service. She was preceded in death by parents, husband of 41 years Henry L. Zarsky, daughter-in-law, Melinda Gajdosik Zarsky, sister, Doris Smesny, brothers, E.H. Stanfield, Jr. and Charles Stanfield. She is survived by her sons: John Zarsky and wife Cindy of Dayton, and Donnie Zarsky of Crosby; her daughter: Dorothy Fancett and husband Gerald of Friendswood; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters: Patsy Wood of Amarillo, Sybil Casteel of Jacksonville, Sue Carey of Millican, and Alma Yoakum of Bryan; brother: Bob Stanfield and wife Frieda of Spring; also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
