Oma Marie Lilley was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose gentle spirit and unwavering faith touched all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Mickey Palmer, and her sisters, Janis Sue Lindsey and Deloris Evelyn Minchew.
Oma is lovingly survived by her husband of over forty years, Cullen “Sonny” Lilley; her daughters, Debora Sue Haltom and husband Joseph, Deloris Carr, Charlotte Marie Brooks and husband Gerald, and Heather Rachele Lilley; her sister, Rebecca Faulkner; and her brothers, Cecil Palmer Jr. and Steven Palmer.
She was a proud and cherished grandmother to Gerald Brooks Jr., Cherish Brooks, Jessica Haltom, Ashley Bennett, Joseph Haltom, Geremy Brooks, Amber Bennett, Jacob Haltom, Kamerin Carr, Jared Haltom, Koby Carr, Kaelan Coleman, Tanner Lacey, and Joshua “Logan” Lacey; as well as twenty-four great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews who adored her deeply.
Oma was a God-fearing and beautiful soul whose love for her family knew no bounds. She cherished every moment spent with her loved ones, especially her grandchildren, who brought her endless joy. She found peace and happiness in life’s simple pleasures — tending her garden, listening to music, dancing, and enjoying the beauty of the outdoors. Her home was always filled with laughter, love, and the comforting aroma of her cooking, especially during the holidays she so dearly loved.
Above all, Oma lived a life rooted in faith. She taught those around her to put God first, to love deeply, and to embrace life with gratitude and joy. Her warmth, strength, and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of all who were blessed to know and love her.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Oma’s life during visitation on Thursday, November 6, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home. May her soul rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the beauty and light she shared so freely with the world.
