Patsy Crocker DuBose, 74, of Dayton, Texas, passed away on November 5, 2025. Patsy was born on September 22, 1951, in Dayton, Texas, to parents George Melvin Crocker and Ruth Beard Crocker.
Patsy was a lifelong resident of Dayton and a faithful member of Grace Community Baptist Church. She was known for her strong work ethic and her deep devotion to her family. For many years, she worked hard—often as a single mother—to provide for her daughters and create a warm, loving home.
Patsy had a passion for flowers and plants and could often be found tending to her garden. She loved watching Hallmark Christmas movies, even the “Christmas in July” ones, and she looked forward to the holiday season every year. Her kitchen was filled with the aromas of cookies, candies, and pies, and she was especially known for her delicious chicken and dumplings. Baking with her grandchildren brought her immense joy, and her buttermilk pies always sparked friendly debates among her sons-in-law about who would get to take home the leftovers.
In her leisure time, Patsy enjoyed trips to the casino with her friends, laughter, and good company. Her kindness, humor, and generous spirit will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
Patsy is preceded in death by her parents, George and Ruth Crocker, and her grandson, James Allen Holder. She is survived by her daughters, Julie West Roy and husband Bryan, and Leslie Fregia and husband Robert; her brothers, Melvin Crocker and wife Karen, Donald Crocker and wife Marla, Tracy Crocker and wife Susan, and William Crocker and wife Renata; her beloved grandchildren, Cody Fregia, Makenna Fregia, Bellamy Fregia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 10:00–11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 10, 2025, at Pace Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton, followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Ryan Cemetery in Tarkington.
Patsy will be deeply missed by her family and friends, but her love and laughter will live on in their hearts forever.
