Patsy R Vacha

Patsy R. Odom Vacha, 62, of Liberty, passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2015, at the Methodist Hospital in Houston. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 14, 2015, at the Moss Hill Cemetery in Moss Hill. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Patsy was born November 12, 1952 in Liberty, to parents; Scott Odom and Linnie Alcorn, and has been a lifelong resident of Liberty. She was a graduate of the Hardin High School class of 1971 and a homemaker. She also enjoyed collecting, crossword puzzles, and reading. Mrs. Vacha was preceded in death by her father: Scott Odom, mother: Linnie Alcorn Key and sisters: Vallie McDonald, Norma “Cooter” Leonard, Sue “Skeeter” McGraw, and Connie Lopez. She is survived by her husband of 19 years: Kevin Vacha of Liberty, son: Larry Smith and wife Angile of Moss Hill, daughter: Odetta Samantha Smith of Moss Hill, stepdaughters: Bambi Brown of Hardin and Sarah Vacha of Florida, stepsons: Bubba Vacha of Florida and Michael Vacha of Missouri, brothers: John Odom and wife Barbara of Liberty and Craig Odom and wife Hazel of Port Neches, grandchildren: Ashley Taylor and Michael Shawn Taylor, step-grandchildren: Cheyenne Brown, Heather Brown, Zachery Davis, Matthew Havener, and Isaiah Lane, great-grandchild: Calli Faye Dickson, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
