Pete Silcox, Jr. was born November 8, 1940 in Houston, Texas to parents Pete Silcox, Sr. and Pearl Brown Silcox. He went to his rest on April 18, 2024 in Coldspring, Texas at the age of 83. Pete spent most of his childhood in the bay area. He has lived in Coldspring for the past 18 years and loved being on Lake Livingston.
Pete was an avid fisherman, shrimper, boater, builder, and machinist-truly a jack of all trades. With the skills passed down from his father he has built 8 family homes and countless other small projects. Pete started out working as a house framer with his father, moved on to working in a machine shop and later went into the oil and gas industry for 30 plus years. In retirement he could be found reeling in white bass or playing with grandbabies. Nothing gave him more joy than being surrounded by his family. His heart of gold touched many and he’ll be missed dearly.
Pete was preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Pearl Silcox; son, Pete Edward Silcox; granddaughter, Tracie Silcox. He is survived by his beloved wife of 19 years, Bonnie Foulds Silcox; sons, John Franklin Silcox ,Robert Allan Silcox and wife Christine, Bill Sangster and wife Margret, Chris Strickland and wife Rhonda; daughter, Amanda Silcox Holler and husband Buck; grandchildren, Kristie Knowles, Shana Alcantara, Stephanie Silcox, Gavin Player, Carter P.
