Reba Wallace Emerson

Reba Du’Ane Emerson, 78, of Oakhurst, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on February 21, 1947, in Conroe, Texas, to Carolyn King and Darwin Wallace, Reba grew up with a strong sense of family, love, and laughter. She carried those values throughout her life, sharing them freely with everyone who knew her.

Reba was the proud mother of four children — Wayne Cannalito Jr. and wife Beverly, Du’Ane “DeeDee” Wolfing, Billie Dillard, and William Pope and wife Andrea. She cherished her grandchildren Kayla, Brittney, Anna, Jacqueline, Wendy, Molleeanne, Cheyenne, Alicia, and Bonnie, along with numerous great-grandchildren who filled her heart with joy.

She is preceded in death by her beloved mother, Carolyn King, and her granddaughter, Abaigeal Jones.

Reba is survived by her brothers Berl Wallace and wife Doris, Dale Wallace and wife Judy, and her sister Lorraine Allen and husband David, along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who adored her.

A woman who loved her card games, Chicken Foot, and puzzles, Reba found joy in simple moments — a good laugh, a warm meal, and time spent surrounded by her family. Her gentle spirit, humor, and unwavering love will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her.

A celebration of Reba’s life will be held at a later date, surrounded by family and friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.
