In Loving Memory of Rebecca Ann Love Medina

February 11, 1951 – April 19, 2025.

With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we announce the passing of Rebecca Ann who left this world on Saturday morning April 19, 2025, with her sister and husband by her side and the deep affection of those whose lives she touched.

She was preceded in death by loving relatives; her mother Patricia Ann Love, her father Don Love, and nephew Dustin Trub. She is survived by her husband Pete Medina, her brother Jeff and wife Susan Love, sister Robin Trub, niece Jennifer Love, nephew Andrew and wife Annie Love, her great nieces Maddy and Frankie Love, nephew Donald and wife Lauren Trub, her great nephews Colter and Waylon Trub.

Becky was a beacon of kindness, warmth, and generosity. Her love for animals was unmatched, simply offering a gentle hand and kind heart to any creature in need, she embodied compassion in every interaction. Animals sensed her spirit, just as people did.

She graduated from Houston Memorial High School and lived most of her life in the Baytown Area, was the former owner of Channel Sheet Metal and had previously worked for her father’s business, Don Love Construction and had spent several years as a paralegal.

A devoted wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, Becky held her family close and extended that sense of belonging to everyone she met. She never let a birthday go unremembered, a hardship go unsupported or a success go uncelebrated. Her home and heart were always open, her table always had one more seat, and her presence made every gathering warmer.

An adventurer at heart, Becky traveled far and wide, collecting stories, friendships, and beautiful memories from across the globe. From quiet moments watching sunsets in distant lands to vibrant market streets and historic wonders, she embraced the world with curiosity and grace. Yet no matter where she roamed, she always found her way back to the people she loved most.

She had an incredible gift for making others feel seen, heard, and valued. A loyal friend, a compassionate listener, and a fierce protector of those she cared for, Becky leaves behind a legacy of love, empathy, and genuine human connection.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home located at 1304 N. Cleveland, Dayton, Texas 77535, (936) 258-5300. A service will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Father Peter Nguyen and C. D. Williams officiating.

She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all the lives she touched—both two-legged and four.

Celebrate her life by living with the same open heart and giving spirit that defined hers.

Rest well, dear Becky. The world is better for having known you.
