Rhonda Faye Moody Ayers, 61, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on February 27, 2026, in Tarkington.
Rhonda was born on April 19, 1964, in Houston to Rodney Bert Moody and Barbara Ann Adams Moody. She lived in Cleveland for the past 53 years and was a proud member of the Splendora High School Class of 1982.
Rhonda had a love for travel and treasured time spent on sandy beaches, along the Frio River, and throughout the Texas Hill Country, always surrounded by family and friends. She was known for her stylish sunglasses, makeup, bling, and most of all, her incredibly beautiful smile that could light up any room.
A woman with a servant’s heart, Rhonda was always willing to help anyone in need. She organized numerous blood drives, participated in many Joggin’ for Jenna CF fundraisers, helped organize and volunteered at Ducks Unlimited banquets, and gave her time as a volunteer with the M-Club in Tarkington. She was a lifetime badge member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and proudly served as Past President for Dairy Day LSR in Cleveland.
Rhonda was a dedicated and beloved employee at Cleveland Family Dentistry for 35 years, where her coworkers could attest to her exceptional ability to successfully run the office while performing her duties with excellence and care. She formed lasting friendships everywhere she went, but her greatest joy in life was her family—especially her role as GiGi to her grandchildren and great-grandson, who were the light of her life.
She was preceded in death by her father Rodney Moody; all of her grandparents; and her in-laws, Dalton and Martha Ayers.
Rhonda is survived by the love of her life and best friend of 42 years, Leonard Ayers; her mother, Barbara Ann Williams and husband Harry; her sons, Sean Ayers and wife Amy, and Shane Ayers and wife Karli; her brother, Derek Moody; her sister, Karen Cross; sisters-in-law Teresa Gingles and husband David, and Patty Magee and husband Tim; grandchildren Kynzee and Tagen, Kylee and husband Payton, Jayden, Gage, Colt, and Rhett; great-grandson Hudson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and countless friends who will forever cherish her memory.
A service to celebrate Rhonda’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Cornerstone Church, with Pastor Timothy Magee officiating.
Rhonda’s kindness, generosity, and radiant smile will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
