Rhonda Ann Usher

February 17, 1972 — August 13, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rhonda Ann Usher, lovingly known as “Mimi,” on August 13, 2025, surrounded by her adoring family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 53 years old.

Born on February 17, 1972, in Houston, Texas, to Morris and Odessa Garrett, Rhonda grew up alongside her brothers, Joe and Eddie, creating bonds and memories that shaped her into the caring, spirited, and family-centered woman we were blessed to know.

Rhonda was the devoted wife of Kenneth Usher, and together they built a life centered around love, laughter, and family. She was a proud and loving mother to Kristopher Usher and his wife Elyse, and to Amber Alston and her husband Zach. Her greatest joy came in her role as “Mimi” to her beloved grandchildren — Korbin, Kohen, and Blake. If you knew Rhonda, you knew her eyes lit up whenever she spoke about them.

Family was the heartbeat of Rhonda’s life. She was deeply devoted, not only to her children and grandchildren, but to her extended family — her brothers, Joe and Eddie, their wives Missy and Stacy, her nieces and nephews, and countless others whose lives she touched.

Those who knew Rhonda would say she had a way of making everyone feel special. She had a warm smile, a kind heart, and a fierce loyalty to the people she loved. She found joy in the simple things — whether it was planning a family trip, watching her grandsons in sports, or just being around family.

Rhonda was more than just a wife, a mother, and a Mimi — she was a friend, a role model, and a constant source of encouragement. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and family unity.

Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we take comfort in knowing Rhonda’s love will continue to live on in each of us. Her laughter, her lessons, and her unwavering devotion to her family will never be forgotten.

Rhonda, we love you, we miss you, and we will carry you with us — always.
