Robert Louis Korenek

Robert L. Korenek, 78, of Dayton, died Saturday, July 11, 2015, at the Cleveland Healthcare Center in Cleveland. A gathering for family and friends will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Friday, July 17, 2015, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Robert was born July 7, 1937 in Highlands, to parents; Arnold C. and Irene Kaminski Korenek, a former resident of Highlands, and has resided in Dayton for the past 40 years. He was a veteran of the US Army and a fisherman by trade. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and bee keeping. Mr. Korenek was preceded in death by his parents, grandson: Brandon Burton, and great-grandson: Baby Drake. He is survived by his daughters: Sherren Drake of Dayton, Marion Roberts of Onalaska, Tammy Korenek-Lozes and husband Jay of Louisiana, and Cindy Korenek-Flowers of Sequin, sisters: Virginia Russo and husband Larry of Florida and Irene Goedrich of Lynchburg, brother: Arnold Korenek and wife Dolores of Highlands, grandchildren: Rachael Ryland, Emma Drake, Chasity Jarry, Eric Burton, Jacob Roberts, Lacy Fenley, Lucas Fenley, Shannda Korenek, and Karli Flowers, and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
