Rodney Lynn Foster

November 11, 1955 — April 9, 2024

Rodney Lynn Foster, affectionately known to many as "Bobo," "Bo," or "Papa," peacefully passed away on April 9, 2024 in Dayton, Texas at the age of 68. Born on November 11, 1955 in Houston, Texas. Rodney was the beloved son of John David Foster and Pearline Lewing Foster.

For the past 12 years, Rodney had called Dayton home.Previously residing in the Sheldon area. He was a man of simple pleasures. Bo never met a stranger, you might not have been family but he was everyone’s Uncle Bo. Rodney found immense joy in fishing and cherished moments spent with his family. His love for water was evident through his frequent visits to Red’s camping and fishing on the river with family. Rodney enjoyed watching westerns even though he had already watched them many times before.

An avid supporter of the Astros, Rodney also enjoyed playing pool and savored a cold Bud Light in good company. Among his greatest joys, was spending time with his family. He had lots of nieces who all fought over who was his favorite (they were all his favorite) who lovingly referred to him as "Uncle Bo."

Rodney was preceded in death by his parents, John David Foster and Pearline Lewing Foster, his sister Beverly Turnage, his first wife Elizabeth Ann Foster, his son-in-law Shah Arfin, his stepmother Lena Gilmore, and his nephew John Daniel Turnage.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Toni Foster. His daughters;Stacy Arfin, Stephanie Hernandez and her husband Izzy, and Jessica Foster. His son, David Land. Rodney is also survived by his brothers; Larry Foster and Randy Foster. His sisters; Sharon Fuentes and her husband Mariano, Karen Foster and husband Jon Frank. He leaves behind cherished grandchildren; Cory Foster and his wife Hallie, Ryan Arfin, Hendrix Arfin, Lennox Arfin, Qazi Shahryar “Adib”, Alison Hernandez, and SheldenBurns "Spanky”. As well as great-grandchildren Wyatt Foster and Addilynn "Addi" Foster. Additionally, Rodney is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other beloved family members.

At this time, no services have been scheduled for Rodney. Though he may be missed, his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the eternal love of his family and friends.
