Rodney John Skuca, 67, passed away on October 22, 2026. He was born on March 9, 1959, to his parents, Johnny Skuca and Gladys Clayton.

Rodney was a hardworking man who dedicated nearly 50 years of his life to his career as a welder. Outside of work, he was an exceptionally talented pool player, known by many as one of the best in the country. His skill and passion for the game took him to Las Vegas, where he competed alongside some of the top players in the sport. Rodney also enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially fishing and deer hunting. He loved visiting the casino and always appreciated the excitement of a good game. Whether he was at the pool table, enjoying the outdoors, or spending time with those closest to him, Rodney lived life doing the things he loved.

Rodney was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny Skuca and Gladys Clayton.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving girlfriend, Brandi Scott; his eleven daughters; his brother, Argie Armstrong; his sister, Linda Dooly; numerous grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 6, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton, Texas. Burial will follow at Magnolia Park Cemetery.

Honoring Rodney as pallbearers will be Joshua Armstrong, Patrick Penton, Larry “Podi” Roe, Kenny Chance, and Dusty Steede.
