Sabra Jan Carraway King, 64, passed away on September 26, 2026. She was born on October 7, 1961, in North Carolina to Lowell Jan Carraway and Sondra Jean Jansen Carraway.

Sabra grew up in Dayton, Texas, and was a proud member of the Dayton High School Class of 1979. Throughout her life, she remained connected to the community she called home. She worked for York County as an administrative assistant and also enjoyed her time working with her sister at the Vineyard florist, where her friendly nature made her a familiar face to many. Sabra was also a proud military wife for 20 years, embracing the sacrifices, responsibilities, and experiences that came with supporting a military family.

Sabra found joy in the simple things that made life special. She loved watching the Houston Astros and Houston Texans and looked forward to watching the dog show every Thanksgiving. She especially loved her dogs, Sam and Slinky, who brought her much happiness and companionship. Sabra enjoyed spending time with her friends, traveling, and going on cruises, always appreciating the opportunity to make new memories and enjoy time with those she loved.

Above all, Sabra’s greatest joy was her family. She deeply loved her children and treasured being a grandmother. Her grandchildren were her world, and she cherished every moment she was able to spend with them.

Sabra was preceded in death by her parents, Lowell Jan Carraway and Sondra Jean Jansen Carraway.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Kraig Austin King and wife Cortny; her daughter, Erika King Hall and husband Andrew; her sister, Rhonda Carraway Munoz; her grandchildren, Lainey King, Rose King Hall, and a baby boy King on the way; as well as numerous other loving family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be Kraig King, Andrew Hall, Shane Williams, Ricky Blanchard, Elijah Ivy, and Eric Munoz.

A visitation for Sabra will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m., with Pastor Jeff Day officiating. Burial will follow at Magnolia Park Cemetery in Dayton.

In honor of Sabra and in celebration of her life, the family invites everyone attending her services to wear turquoise or purple, Sabra’s favorite colors.
