Sandra Sue "Sandy" Demski

December 2, 1951 — October 8, 2025

The family of Sandra Sue "Sandy" Demski is saddened to announce her sudden passing on October 8, 2025 at 7:22 pm. Sandy was born at home on December 2, 1951, in Midland, Michigan, to Homer and Margaret Sweebe.

She attended Bullock Creek High School and married her high school sweetheart, Vanars Dale Louis Demski, on January 17, 1970, in Midland. Together, they embarked on life’s journey, starting a family and creating lasting memories.

Throughout their lives, Sandy and Dale embraced new journeys and adventures. Moving to Sandusky, Ohio; Midland, Michigan; Baytown, Texas; Port Charlotte, Florida, before finally settling in Cleveland, Texas, where they enjoyed retirement together.

A talented crafter, Sandy enjoyed quilting, macrame, ceramics, and crafting handmade primitive dolls. Participating in many community craft shows. She particularly looked forward to the Christmas holidays, filling her home with joyful decorations, delicious baked goods, and cherished moments with family, especially decorating the Christmas tree with antique ornaments. Sandy had a passion for RV adventures alongside her husband and was a volunteer of youth football for Port Charlotte Bandits and Port Charlotte High School, Florida. An avid NASCAR fan, she loved cheering for car #9 (Awesome Bill Elliot and then his son Chase Elliot). Sandy enjoyed visiting numerous racetracks with her husband, especially local short track racing.

As team owner of Demski Racing, she supported her husband and son Nathan in their local oval track racing career at Houston Motor Sports Park. Her professional life included her role as a service manager for Marathon Oil, and she took pride in raising four beautiful and wonderful children. She was a devoted animal lover who cherished her cats, especially MR. and Missy.

In her leisure time, Sandy enjoyed gardening, playing Texas Hold 'em, and observing the beauty of birds.

Her warm spirit and loving nature will always be cherished by those who knew and loved her.

Sandy is preceded in death by her parents, Charles Homer Sweebe and Mary Margaret Schaefer Sweebe; her brothers, Larry Sweebe, Jon Sweebe, Jerry Sweebe and Neal Sweebe; and her grandparents, Joseph and Sarah Sweebe, William and Mary Schaefer.

She is survived and forever remembered by her beloved husband of 55 years, Vanars Dale Louis Demski; her children, daughter Shane (Michael) Dunphy; granddaughter Danielle (Larry) Peltier; great-grandchildren Jackson and Chanler Dunphy; granddaughter Victoria Dunphy (Andy Dao); son Sean (Suelynn) Demski; granddaughter Riley Demski and grandson Ryan Demski; son Nathan Demski; granddaughter Tate Demski; great-grandchildren Everleigh Demski, Tinslie, Greysyn Gilman; daughter Janna (Bertram) Winfield; granddaughter Alexandra Winfield; grandson Bertram Winfield; and siblings, Fran Hahn, Chris Sweebe, Sara Krotzer.

A celebration of Sandy's life, featuring fireworks in her honor, will be held on January 3, 2026, at a private residence in Cleveland, Texas. For information, please contact the family directly.
