Sherry Glynn Dryden Shipman, 66, of Hardin, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2016, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 29, 2016, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home with burial following at Hardin Chapel Cemetery in Hardin. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers are Jason "Jake" Dryden, Gregg Davis, Rhett Parker, Garth Parker, Steven Dryden, and Mitchell "Bubba" Parker. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.
Sherry was born February 20, 1950 in Silsbee, to parents; Zeke and Willie Mae Cowart Dryden, she was a former resident of Dayton, and has resided in Hardin for the past 39 years. She was a graduate of Hardin High School and a purchasing agent for the construction industry. She also enjoyed crocheting, fishing, hunting, and flowers.
Mrs. Shipman was preceded in death by her parents and sister: Donna Lynn Harris. She is survived by her husband of 40 years: Dennis Shipman of Hardin, daughter: Marla Shipman-Reed and husband James of Hardin, sister: Bobbie Van Horn and husband Charlie; brothers: Michael Tiny Dryden and wife Marion of Canada, Edward Eddie Dryden and wife Terri of Hull, and William Frosty Dryden and wife Dolly of Hardin, grandson: Zachary Rex Reed, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
