Sidney "Gib" Smith

Sidney G. “Gib” Smith, age 92, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2011. He was born December 1, 1918 in Fostoria, Texas to parents, Ike and Cora Smith who preceded him in death along with his loving wife, Myrtle “Nathalie” Isaacks Smith; son-in-law, Donald Howard Sr.; and brother, Jack Smith. Survivors include his sons, Jerry Smith and wife, Sue of Cleveland, Texas, Larry Smith and wife, Martha of Cleveland, Texas, Mike Smith and wife, Audrey of Patton Village, Texas; daughters, Bonnie S. Howard of Cleveland, Texas, Cindy Stimac and husband, Craig Jr. of Cleveland, Texas; grandchildren, Donald, Stacey, Paul, Mark, Luke, Roy Lee, Shelley, Vicki, J.R., Jackie, Curt, Amanda, Alyssa, and Natasha; great-grandchildren, Dusty, Valerie, Nikki, Brook, Taylor, Natalie, Shannon, Marissa, Samantha, Jamie, Rylee, Abigail, Alison, Triston, Trey, Logan, Stormie, Landon, Allen, Maddie, Summer, and Melayna; great-great-grandchildren, Kylie, Jayla, and Jazmine; numerous nieces, nephews and other cherished family members and faithful friends. Visitation will be held Monday, May 23, 2011, 5:00-9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Bro. Earl Faust will preside over funeral services being held Tuesday, May 24, 2011, 10:00 a.m. at Pace-Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas with interment following at Pin Oak Cemetery. Pallbearers include Luke Smith, Dustin Howard, Les Gilmore, Taylor Faust, Shawn Faust, Mark Sears, and Paul Hendrik.
