Stephen Michael
Mollica
November 19, 1961 – May 24, 2026
Cleveland - Pace-Stancil Funeral Home
10:00 - 11:00 am
Stephen Michael Mollica passed away on May 24, 2026. Stephen was born on November 19, 1961, to Phillip and Joyce Mollica. Throughout his life he showed everyone around him what it meant to love deeply, laugh often, and always put family first.
Stephen was more than a father, brother, grandfather, and friend — he was the kind of person who made people feel at home. His presence brought comfort, his laughter filled rooms, and his love for his family was undeniable in everything he did. To know Stephen was to know loyalty, strength, and a heart that cared endlessly for the people he loved.
He leaves behind his son, Michael Mollica and wife Morgan, and his daughter, Miranda Hammond and husband Matthew, who were the pride and joy of his life. He was an incredibly proud Pawpaw to Presli Mollica, Michael Mollica Jr., Macie Hammond, Korbyn Mollica, Mason Hammond, Keigan Roulston, Riley Fabela, Brandie Franklin, Grayden Dominy, Trent McCaa and Rayleigh McCaa, as well as one great-granddaughter Aayla Fabela. Nothing made Stephen happier than being surrounded by his grandchildren, making memories, sharing stories, and loving them with his whole heart.
He is also survived by his sisters, Marlena Strohm and Phyllis Ault, along with many nieces, nephews, relatives, and dear friends who will forever cherish the love and memories he gave so freely.
Stephen was preceeded in death by his beloved wife, Brenda K. Mollica; his mother, Joyce M. Pollard; his father, Phillip A. Mollica; his brother, Patrick J. Mollica; and his sister, Dana Thompkins.
Stephen was a hardworking and devoted man who dedicated 32 years of service to Drake. Throughout those many cherished years, he gained more than just coworkers - he built a family of friends who loved, respected, and deeply cherished him.
Stephen loved life’s simple joys. He loved being outdoors, whether he was fishing by the water or hunting in the quiet woods. He was a devoted Pittsburgh Steelers fan through and through, always cheering loudly for his team. But above all else, Stephen loved his family. His children and grandchildren were his entire world, and every moment spent with them meant everything to him.
To his family, he was “Pawpaw Steve-O” — a name spoken with love, laughter, and admiration. He had a way of making everyone smile, giving the best hugs, and reminding those around him how important family truly is. The love he gave so freely will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone blessed enough to know him.
Although our hearts ache in his absence, we are grateful for every memory, every laugh, every lesson, and every moment shared with him. Stephen will be deeply missed, endlessly loved, and forever remembered.
