Stephen Anthony Sartin, 40, of Dayton, Texas, passed away on September 12, 2024.
Born on October 8, 1983, Stephen was the beloved son of Anthony Edward Sartin and Susan Davidson Sartin. Raised in the close-knit community of Dayton and nurtured by the Dayton First Assembly of God Church, Stephen's life was a testament to his deep roots and enduring passions.
A proud 2002 graduate of Dayton High School, Stephen discovered his creative spirit, creating a cedar chest that earned him a prize for his craftsmanship. From a young age, Stephen exhibited a fascination with computers, beginning with a floppy disk computer at just 5 years old. His early enthusiasm for technology blossomed into a successful career as a Sourcing Automation Developer. His knack for building and understanding computers defined much of his professional and personal life.
Beyond technology, Stephen loved watching anime, relaxing to lofi hip hop music, playing games with his friends and family, and engaging with his online community all of whom he cared for greatly.
Stephen was preceded in death by his grandparents and his beloved dog, Misa. He leaves behind his devoted parents, Andy and Sue Sartin, and his cherished sibling, Jen Shuman.
A visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Pace Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. A service celebrating Stephen’s life will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 15, 2024, also at Pace Stancil. Burial will follow at Magnolia Park Cemetery in Dayton. Pallbearers will include Timothy Sartin, Jonathan Sartin, Juan Trevizo, Skyler Dawson, Riley Fleck, and Ryan McGrath. The service will be officiated by Brother C.D. Williams, Reverend Charles Pierce and Reverend Bren Robison.
Stephen’s memory will be cherished by all who knew him, and his legacy will live on through the lives he touched and the passions he pursued.
