Steve Akin

Steve Arlan Akin was born in Meridian, Mississippi on Januuary 30, 1948 to parents, Raymon Hershel Akin and Arva Jean Betts Akin. He passed away October 17, 2025 in Shepherd, Texas at the age of 77. Steve proudly served our country in the US Army and also worked as a security guard. He is survived by his wife, Anna Akin; sister, Patsy; 1/2 sisters, Charlene, Bonnie, and Joyce. Steve will be laid to rest at the Houston National Cemetery on Thursday, Novemeber 13, 2025 at 11:15am with honors provided by the Houston Honor Guard.
