In Loving Memory of Susan Denice Teichman December 15, 1963 – December 3, 2024
Susan Denice Teichman was born on December 15, 1963, in Houston, Texas, to Robert Gary Ruffer and Patricia Wagner Ruffer. She passed away in Houston, Texas, on December 3, 2024, at the age of 60, surrounded by loving family.
Susan was a strong-willed individual who lived life on her own terms. She channeled her energy and talents into various passions, leaving her mark in every endeavor.
Her love for animals was undeniable, and she found solace and purpose in caring for them. She dedicated time to volunteering at local animal shelters, giving countless dogs the compassion and care they deserved.
Susan’s most profound love was reserved for her children, Kevin Thompson and Miranda Holmon, and she cherished her role as a mother. She also adored her grandchildren, Nathan, James, and Trey Holmon, whose presence brought moments of light into her life.
One of Susan’s many gifts was her innate knack for decorating her home. She had a unique talent for knowing exactly where everything should go, creating beautiful and welcoming spaces. She loved to redecorate, infusing each corner with her creative flair and personal touch, making her house a true reflection of her vibrant personality.
Though her personality could be difficult, Susan’s impact is remembered in the lives she touched, the animals she cared for, and the family she loved in her own way.
She is survived by her mother, Patricia Easley; her stepfather, Roger Easley; her husband of seven years, Mark Teichman; her children, Kevin and Miranda and husband Dewayne; her brothers, Jessie Ruffer and Robert Ruffer and wife Lily; her grandchildren, Nathan, James, and Trey Holmon; and her niece, Brittany Ruffer.
Susan’s family takes comfort in knowing that she is at peace. Her contributions to animal welfare, her creative talents, and her passion for home design will be remembered fondly by those who knew her.
As she often said to those she held close, "Love you, a bushel and a peck, and a hug around the neck."
A private memorial service will be held to honor Susan’s life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a local animal shelter.
All arrangements handled under the trusted care of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home.
