Timothy Wade Land

Timothy Wade Land, Sr., 64, of Anahuac, Texas, passed away on June 4, 2026. Born on January 8, 1962, in Anahuac, Texas, he was the son of Martin Luther Land and Bertie Lee Gresham.

Timothy was a hardworking man who spent much of his life on the water, proudly owning and operating his own shrimp fishing business. He was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to providing for those he loved. Although he enjoyed fishing, it often took a back seat to the long hours he devoted to work.

When he wasn't working, Timothy enjoyed riding ATVs, watching old western television shows, and admiring eagles. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was always ready with a joke that could bring laughter to those around him. His quick wit, warm smile, and love of laughter made him a joy to be around.

Above all else, Timothy was devoted to his family. He was a protective and caring father, grandfather, brother, and friend who would do anything for anyone in need. He took great pride in helping raise his grandchildren, whom he loved dearly. His family was his greatest treasure, and he never hesitated to stand up for those he loved.

Timothy was preceded in death by his father, Martin "Mart" Land; his mother, Bertie "Rojo" Rushing; his daughter, Felecia Gail Land; his sisters, Barbara "Bobbie" Thomas, Linda Smith, Joyce Faye Barnhart, and Rosemary Land; and his brother, Roland Boyd Land.

He is survived by his longtime girlfriend, Linda Lewis; his daughter, Jessica Thorson; his sons, Timothy Land, Jr., Joshua Land, and J.R. Jordan; his sisters, Diana Burch and husband Dennis, and Sharon Warden and husband Alan; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Edward and Holly Nolder; and his beloved grandchildren, Timbo, Wyatt, Sara, Dooley, and Topher. He also leaves behind many other family members and friends who will cherish his memory.

A funeral service honoring Timothy's life will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Bethel Assembly of God Church in Liberty. Pastor Patrick Slack will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Timbo Land, Wyatt Land, Alan Warden, Timothy Land, Jr., Allen Harryman, David McDaniel, Curtis Land, and Dennis Burch.

Timothy will be remembered for his kindness, his laughter, his unwavering devotion to family, and the countless lives he touched through his generosity and love. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
