Tracy Junior Burks

The home of Edgar and Gladys Burks was blessed with a bouncing baby boy on March 13, 1934. Their lives were never the same. He was extremely energetic and enthusiastic about life. He abandoned this earthly house on May 31, 2025. He was only----39----!!!! Everyone in our family is 39 because that is how we can remember how old everyone is. Actually, he left this life at the age of 91 years and 2 months.

He was an excellent welder and worked for Cameron Iron Works as a supervisor. He retired at 50 and then devoted his energy to Tarkington Propane. He dearly loved each customer. He retired again in 1998. This retirement lasted about two seconds and he was ready to retire from all the honey do tasks. He opened Arctic Gas in 2003 and ran that business until bad health forced him to retire a second time.

His lovely wife Bunny of 67 years, his infant daughter Freida, and his only grandson Rhett were anxiously awaiting his arrival. They wondered why it took so long.

He was a wonderful dad to his daughter, Teresa, and his son Tracy Jr. Traci, his granddaughter was named after him. His three great grandchildren were special to granddad.

He dearly loved and respected his baby brother, Norvell.

We wish to express our thanks to his care givers, especially Ruby and Mary. They did all they could to keep him comfortable, happy and at home.

We are honored to have as pallbearers, Ronnie Benton, Allen Burks, Larry Hawkins, Dwight Smith, Christian Hudson, and Bryson Hudson.

His celebration of life will be June 2, 2025, at Pace-Stancil Chapel in Cleveland, Texas. Visitation will be at 1:00 pm with the service at 2:00 pm. Rev. Glen Barnhill will be officiating. The interment will be at Ryan Cemetery.

My road has ended

I will take nothing with me

I hope to leave behind something beautiful

And a warmth in the hearts of those I have met

So that, when my road ends, my love will remain.
