Vaughn Eugene Frye

Vaughn Eugene Frye was born in Weleetka, Oklahoma on July 3, 1933 to parents, James Larkin Frye and Sarah Massey Frye. He passed away in Cleveland, Texas on April 24, 2025 at the age of 91 years. Vaughn was a lifelong servant of his beloved country and his community. He proudly served in the US Army in the Korean War and was a police officer. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Larkin and Sarah Frye; wife, Edna Frye; daughter, Terry Frye; grandson, Clayton Frye; brothers, Vernon Frye, Virgil Frye, Kibble Frye, and James Frye; sister, Ollie Mae Frye. Vaughn is survived by his children, Cheryl Colbert and husband Jerry Wayne Colbert, Lisa Curry, and Leonard Hartsock; grandchildren, Michael Colbert and wife Brandy, Jerry Colbert and wife Melaney, Nolan Colbert, Nickie Colbert Leutert and husband Walter, Teri Colbert Davis and husband Brad, and Sierra Colbert Harbour and husband Chad; great-grandchildren, Ava Leutert, Zoey Colbert, Isabella Davis, Owen Davis, Jonah Colbert, and Evelyn Colbert. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday, May 10, 2025 in the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel at 2pm with Bro Carl Williamson officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the US Army.
