Richard Chambless

William Richard Chambless was born in Livingston, Texas on July 8, 1952 to parents, William McKinley Chambless and Minnie Viola Richardson Chambless. He passed away in Crockett, Texas on June 30, 2025 at the age of 72 years. Richard loved the outdoors and excelled as a logger and working in the oilfield industry. His greatest love in life was his family and taking good care of them. Richard will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him and loved him. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, William McKinley Chambless and Minnie Viola Chambless; son, Michael Hon; brothers, Roy Chambless and James Chambless; sister, Ann Wright. Richard is survived by his beloved soulmate of 40 years, Beverly Chambless; children, Jeremy Gray and wife Melissa, Roger Gray and wife Anita, Charles Jackson and wife Amy, and Kenny Hon; brother, Gary Chambless and wife Angie; sisters, Minnie Hazlewood and husband Scooter, and Jessie Edge; 23 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. 

Visitation will be held in the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, July 3, 2025 from 10-11am. Funeral Service will begin at 11am with Pastor Chris McCarthy officiating. Burial will follow in the Votaw Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service will be, Collin Gray, Roger Gray, Jax Gray, JW Gray, Josh Coleman, and Richard Lee. Billy Lee will serve as alternate pallbearer.
