William Henry Morgan Jr., 64, of Dayton, Texas, passed away on July 31, 2026.

Born on November 7, 1961, in Houston, Texas, William was the son of William Henry Morgan Sr. and Paula Coronado. He was a man of Christian faith whose life was defined by his devotion to his family, his strong work ethic, and his ability to master just about anything he set his mind to.

William began his career with Scott Specialty Gases in 1989 and remained a dedicated employee through the company's transition to Airgas. Over the course of 37 years, he built a reputation for his loyalty, dependability, and commitment to his work.

A resident of Dayton for the past 15 years, William previously called Houston home. In his spare time, he enjoyed a wide variety of hobbies and interests. A lifelong football fan, he faithfully cheered on his favorite team, the Miami Dolphins, but could always be found watching any football game that was on. He also enjoyed science fiction and comedy movies and never passed up an opportunity to watch his favorite television shows, Seinfeld and The Big Bang Theory.

William was a talented part-time carpenter who had a gift for building and creating. Whether he was crafting furniture, assembling models, or tackling home renovation projects, he took pride in working with his hands. His determination and willingness to learn meant that once he put his mind to something, there was very little he couldn't accomplish.

Above all else, William's greatest joy in life was his family. He was a loving husband, a devoted father, and an incredibly proud grandfather and great-grandfather. He treasured every moment spent with his grandchildren, whether he was playing football or basketball with them, sharing stories, or simply making memories together. His love, guidance, and unwavering support will remain with them always.

William was preceded in death by his parents, William Henry Morgan Sr. and Paula Coronado, and his daughter-in-law, Destiny Morgan.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Kelly Morgan; his sons, Bryan Morgan and wife, Jessica, and Michael Morgan and wife, Cassie; his daughter, Kimberly Morgan; his brother, Stephen Morgan; his sisters, Margie Talley, Mary Linquist, and Vicki Hughes; his grandchildren, Destiny Morgan, Elizabeth Morgan, Ahanna Morgan, Candace Morgan, Steven Hester, Nathaniel Morgan, Elijah Morgan, Elsie Cuatianquiz, Valeria Cuatianquiz, Braylen Morgan, Liam Morgan, Felix Hardy, Jace Morgan, and Cayde Morgan; and his great-grandchildren, Marana Colon-Morgan, Emilio Colon-Morgan, and Raizel Colon-Morgan.

William will be remembered for his kind heart, his remarkable ability to fix or build almost anything, his love of laughter, and the deep love he had for his family. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched and the countless memories he leaves behind.

Serving as pallbearers will be Bryan Morgan, Mike Morgan, Braylen Morgan, Nathaniel Morgan, Eli Morgan, and Liam Morgan.
