W.L. Lanford

W.L. “Sonny” Lanford of Cleveland, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home Tuesday, January 11, 2011. Sonny was born in Houston, Texas on December 4, 1924. He was a U.S. Army, WWII Veteran; serving our country in New Guinea, Luzon Island (Philippines) and Korea. He was a 1950 graduate of University of Texas, Austin; and a long time horse and cattle rancher. He loved his K-9 friend and companion “Dollie”. Visitation will be held 6:00-9:00 p.m. with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Friday, January 14, 2010 at Pace-Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 15, 2011, 1:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Cleveland, Texas with interment following at Pace-Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens.
